There is a struggle that happens when things start to quieten down.  Especially when you’ve been so productive in your business and have been hitting goals, getting out there and stepping up and all that wonderful progress.

You’ve been getting so much done and with so much joy that the first hit of inertia frightens the ego and the internal struggle begins.

The questions of “what’s wrong with me”, “why can’t I get started?”, “where has my passion gone?” start to creep in and you start to doubt yourself.

It’s important to mention that, as females, we operate on a 28-day cycle but are often pressed to conform to the masculine 24-hour linear cycle.

So it’s no wonder we start to doubt ourselves when the hustle feels hard and we just feel like slowing down.

But I’m here to tell you babe, IT’S NORMAL!

Why? Because we’ve been programmed from a young age to think that doing and achieving is great, but resting for too long is lazy.  We can give ourselves a day, but if it’s more than that the guilt creeps in… am I right?

But as our consciousness rises, both the fractured sacred feminine and masculine start to heal.

So how do the Moon cycles come into this?

I’ll give you a bit of background to catch you up to speed.

In astrology, the Moon governs the feminine self and emotions.

The Waxing Cycle (from New Moon to Full Moon is all about momentum) and the Waning Cycle (from Full Moon to New Moon) is when we start moving back into our feminine aspects of being, sensing, allowing & nurturing again.

I can tell you with all my heart that when you start harmonising with the Moon cycles and your own natural feminine cycles (and the seasons that go with that), you will find that your business and life will feel more inflow and less “hard”.

You will start to KNOW the best times to plan launches, do your books, be seen, network and most importantly REST, REFLECT & RECOUPERATE so you can rinse and repeat.

So here are the 3 lessons of the Waning Moon:

Lesson 1: It’s Okay to Stop

As I mentioned above, we have so much guilt in stopping.  Especially nowadays on social media.   The fear of stopping means the fear of not achieveing your potential.

When was the last time you stopped?  And felt good about it?  The last month I was forced to stop, first my period, the the flu, then bronchitis and then my period again.  I think my guides were hinting at something there don’t you think??

My addiction to momentum was getting the better of me and I needed to stop.   But like most of us, we don’t always give ourselves enough time to stop and recouperate.

So I’ll ask you this.  What is the cost of NOT stopping?

Can you afford to run yourself into the ground and risk burning out and affecting your business and your life?

I know your answer is a resounding “NO”

So again – here is your permission to stop.  For as long as you need… there is no shame in spending yummy time with your family, watching Netflix or having a whole day (or 4) to yourself because you need it.

The feminine nurtures the masculine – so allow it to.

Lesson 2:  It allows you to be consistent & authentic in your business.

Just because the energy is waning it doesn’t mean that your whole business and life will stop – it will just look different.

Not only is the waning moon energy (or your own waning moon energy) a good time to take stock of your life and do your innerwork, its also a great time to do that within your business.

If you are constantly creating, then there will be no time to build solid structures & foundations.

If you are constantly in momentum and building, where is there time to evaluate, reflect and re-align?

As heart-centered, soul-aligned entrepreneurs and business owners, it is something that we need to do to stay authentic in our offerings and messaging.

Your consistency will look more like a 28-day cycle rather than the 24-hour or weekly consistency society has come to subscribe to.

Lesson 3: Intertia is Growth

To most of us, the feeling of inertia is death of passion & purpose.  An especially just around the few days before the New Moon or on our period, we may feel like this.

Not a good feeling huh?  Tampon commercials make us think that stopping is for quitters.. but I call bullshit on that.

I didn’t like it either, but what if you look at it like this???

The lack of drive and momentum doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re broken and things are going to fall apart.  Quite the opposite however if you use it to your advantage.

It is an invitation to listen to your Soul-self.

This is a time to ask yourSelf:

  • What do you want?
  • Do you need to realign your values, your offerings, the way you do things?
  • What boundaries do you need to put in place?
  • What do you need to let go of in order to feel lighter for your next stage of growth?

Remember, there is no growth if there is no profound relationship with your emotional and spiritual Self.

Anything that you create within your momentum phase is dependant on how deeply you delve into yourself in your waning phase.

So, babe, I hope this helps you to understand how you can use the Waning Moon phase to your advantage instead of struggling with it.

I’d love to hear your thoughts! So please comment below and I’ll get back to you.
